First Quarter 2026 Financial Highlights

On May 12, Venture Global disclosed its outstanding financial performance for the first quarter of 2026. The company exceeded analyst expectations, reporting adjusted profits of $0.19 per share, a $0.07 beat. Revenue soared by nearly 60% year-over-year, reaching $4.6 billion, which was $750 million above estimates. Net income also saw a notable increase of 23.2% year-over-year, totaling $488 million, predominantly driven by augmented LNG sales volumes from its Plaquemines Project located in Louisiana.

Operational Expansion and Increased Cargo Shipments

During the first quarter, Venture Global significantly expanded its operational output. The company exported 130 cargos and sold 481 TBtu of LNG, a substantial rise compared to 63 cargos and 228.3 TBtu in the same period last year. Looking ahead, the company projects to ship between 147 and 154 cargos from its Calcasieu Project and 347 to 369 cargos from the Plaquemines Project in fiscal year 2026.

Elevated 2026 Financial Outlook and Future Aspirations

In light of its strong quarterly results, Venture Global has revised its 2026 EBITDA guidance upwards, now expecting to achieve $8.2 billion to $8.5 billion, a considerable increase from its previous forecast of $5.2 billion to $5.8 billion. Furthermore, the company remains confident in its trajectory to become the largest LNG producer in North America by the close of 2027, with an ambitious target of exceeding 100 million tonnes of annual production by 2030.
